Ji-Gong Living Buddha’s Merciful Teachings
What is the difference between Tao cultivation and propagation? Can anyone answer me? (…) If you have been cultivating Tao for a long time without guidance, will your direction deviate from the Truth? (Yes.) Tao cultivation is definitely not about perfecting yourselves while neglecting the salvation of sentient beings; this is not the aim of Tao cultivation. Therefore, when we talk about Tao cultivation, it means that the more we cultivate Tao, the more we radiate the spirit of Tao — this is the true value of Tao cultivation. It will be difficult to save many sentient beings if everybody only cares for themselves. How would we achieve the World of Great Harmony?
Hence, the longer we cultivate Tao, the more we manifest great wisdom, the better we perfect matters in life, and the better we are in becoming role models of Tao for future Tao members to emulate. This is the strength. This is the spirit. This is the vow of Tao cultivation. Understand? Thus, my disciples! Now you have one more responsibility in Tao cultivation and propagation, which is to guide sentient beings and Tao members. Please cultivate according to the truth whenever you propagate Tao. Be meticulous and precise in every matter. This is what it means to be a Tao cultivator. This represents the moral fortitude of a Tao cultivator.
