She was the third daughter of King Miao-Zhuang, named Miao-Shan, meaning Profound Goodness. She was not attached to materialistic matters, nor worldly glory and riches. She distinguished the Truth from the illusion and seeked escapement from the earthly world. She vowed in front of Buddha to forever persevere in her cultivation, albeit strong objections from her father. Ultimately, she attained buddhahood, becoming Guan Yin Bodhisattva.
Guan Yin Bodhisattva made twelve great vows; one is to not attain buddhahood unless every sentient being has been saved from the suffering sea. After a long time, she achieved perfection of the practice of the dharma and the brightness of her true nature shone through. She has since again arrived on Earth with great vows to steer the holy vessel.
The White Sun Era has a sacred opportunity. Never had there been a Great Salvation, where Tao is propagated to all beings. An accumulation of profound affinities throughout time has coincidentally led to this journey of learning, cultivating, preaching, and practicing Tao. The thirty-two forms of the Bodhisattva are manifestations of her compassion, enabling her to fully help sentient beings amidst the world’s many turmoils. Take advantage of opportunities that arise during pioneering of new propagation paths, for these are stepping stones of Tao propagation in the White Sun Era.
To tirelessly care for sentient beings, for Bodhisattva’s compassionate vows are timeless. To learn from the Ancient Buddha’s attainment of Buddahood by working even harder to realize faith, vows, practices, and enlightenment.
