Commemorating Buddha Tian Ran
October 1, 2020
15th Day of the 8th Lunar Month
The night falls in mid-autumn.
With a deep sense of gratitude, we reminisce about Shi Zun.
You spent your life on the road for Tao propagation,
traveling far and wide,
while the body accumulated aches and pains from exhaustion.
Courageously striding forward amid the rain, cold, and storm,
you extended affinity to every single soul along the way.
Heavenly Mater conferred on you the title Buddha Tian Ran.
You propagate Tao to sentient beings as both
Ji-Gong Living Buddha and Ling-Miao Buddha.
We take your great vows to heart:
The first is to propagate Tao to all sentient beings
so they may restore their true natures and return to the Origin.
The second is to reform societal customs to achieve Utopia on earth.
The third is to continue the lost teachings of the past sages
and pave the way for future generations
and to revive the tradition of living in accordance with Tao.
Implement Tao cultivation in our day to day life.
We perfect Heavenly Tao when
our worldly duties are completely fulfilled.
The cultivational order is established: individual, family, country, and world.
Confucianism is divinely destined to be
the route towards World of Great Harmony.
Chaos happens when things are out of order.
The strong winds of trouble blow furiously in the year of Geng Zi.
The Holy Summons reveals the power of vows. Unite as one and quickly return to the holy team.
Ultimate sincerity can move Heaven to cease calamities.
Repay Heaven's grace and virtues of the holy teachers
throughout our lifetime,
and we will return to days of bliss and peace.
