Energy Convergent at the 10 Nations Forum
In the morning of the sun-drenched city of Singapore, representative delegates from Taiwan to the Singapore organisers, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, entered the spacious sky ballroom of the PARKROYAL Hotel on Beach Road Hotel, Singapore, to attend the East Asia 10 Nations Forum - Embracing Traditional Culture in the Modern World.
Bai-Yang era pioneering spirit
Touched by this joyous occasion, spirit of sharing, everyone warmly welcomed the VIP and delegates to the Forum. The opening songs of Bai-Yang Era and Pioneering Spirit reflected the hope and entrepreneur spirits of Bai-Yang Tao seniors. From mainland China to Taiwan, from Taiwan to all over the world, reminded us of the shining mission, reigniting our passion towards our responsibilities. It displayed the core value of Tao cultivation and the determination to expand beyond.
The purpose of the Tao Cultivation
In the opening speech of the Honorary Chairman of the I-Kuan Tao Association, Senior Tao Initiatior Han highlighted that our eighteenth Patriarch beholds the mandate of God to propagate Tao, and the tireless contributions of the various elders from different Tao groups have established a solid foundation for the Tao Community. Adhering to the core principles of I-Kuan Tao, their pioneering efforts had exemplified the excellence of our traditional Chinese culture, with cultivation as the means towards healthier mind, physic, and soul, Tao had became the essential cornerstone in building a more harmonious and peacefulness society.
Laying foundations in Shen Zhou, spreading Tao to the world
In the speech by the Chairman of I-Kuan Tao Association, Mr Wang thanked Heaven’s grace and the mercifulness of our Masters for
Tao to originate from China and laid its foundation in Fenglai, or more commonly known as Taiwan today. Todate, Tao has been propagated to the world, specially its roaring development and propagation in Southeast Asia, it is an honour to be able participate in this forum to celebrate its success. “Life is not a feast for material gains, but the cultivation of the soul,” Mr Wang encouraged all to treasure this golden opportunity to cultivate and wished all a success !
The Ordinary and Extraordinary, The Power of Love
The first forum was reported by President Liu Yong He, Malaysia. A comprehensive report was shared for the propagated temples and a brief overview of the distribution of the Tao community. At the same time, through the concept of the “ordinary” activities and the “extraordinary” emergency circumstances and varied methods of building affinity, they adapted to the people and benefitted the society.

The reports from Thailand were presented by Tao Initiator Zhan Zhen Feng and Professor Zhang Ling Qin. From the perspective of academia, Tao Initiator Zhan shared in detail the 3 phases of I-Kuan-Tao history and development through sharing his 2 takeaways from past visits. Through the visit, he gathered that the inheritor of tradition and culture is also the re-creator of new tradition and culture; Professor Zhang, on the other hand, use of business models to explain the expansion of Tao, which is through “Great Tao is the basis to foster all rounded people”. The merging of schools and temples allow students to walk the talk and become youths that would transform a better society.
Breakthrough in Tao development through the establishment of Headquarter.
Tao Initiator Xu Bao Jie reported on behalf of the Philippines that despite the environmental and situational challenges, the determination and the sincerity towards Tao had repeatedly overcome many challenges. To propagate Tao across the many islands of the Philippines, there is a need to combine forces within the various groups of the I-Kuan-Tao community. As such, Tao Initiator Xu would take up the responsibility to establish the Philippines I-Kuan-Tao Headquarter in June 2023. He opening invite all to grace this historical moment, celebrate this joyous occasion and provide your guidance to the prosperity of Tao!
Expanding service to the nation through the Headquarter
Tao Initiator Zeng Yu Ling from Indonesia reported that since the establishment of I-Kuan-Tao Headquarter of Indonesia 20 years ago, Tao had propagated to 29 provinces, 74 cities and established upto 22 foundations to support the continual development of the Tao community. Through organizing various activities and helping the society, they had received numerous acknowledgements from the Indonesian government!
Consolidation of the takeaways and discussions of the forum
After the 2 sessions in the morning, delegates proceeded to break into groups for discussion. Headquarter representatives from different Tao groups, scholars, experts and nations proposed topics relating to the Tao propagation and development. They explored further into the different cultural backgrounds, the support from the various government, and their perspectives on new religion towards Tao propagation and talent development.
Challenges only makes Vietnam stronger
Professor Yuan Qing Lin started off the 3rd session of the forum with an English report. He shared his Tao journey starting from his sponsored studies by the Taiwanese Government where he came across the Tao Community in Gaoxiong. Touched by the spirit of cultivation of Tao seniors, he was determined to follow the footsteps of Reverend Elder Qian-Ren, and other Tao seniors to propagate Tao in Vietnam and transform lives of many beings. To further help many more Vietnamese families and friends, they were actively working towards the establishment of Vietnamese I-Kuan-Tao Headquarter to garner all the resources from various Tao communities in Vietnam to benefit more Vietnamese in the years to come!
Serenity because of Tao
Lecturer SOURIGNOSACK LATTNPHONE from Laos presented through English that because of Tao, many who were once lost and strayed found their way. After acquiring Tao, many had changed their ways, became filial to their parents, loved their neighbors and friends. Tao had helped many to grow and created a more harmonious society. She hoped to establish I-Kuan Tao headquarter in the future so that the essence of the traditional Chinese culture can be further promoted and spread to the world.
Love has no boundaries and the pandemic had showed the true love.
Lecturer Sai Kham from Myanmar began the 4th session of the forum. She highlighted that the political situation made in Myanmar presented challenges to the propagation of Tao. But through upholding the cultivation spirit of Tao seniors, Tao has propagated to the capital and other cities. Do not fear hardships, do not fear challenges; Love is boundless, through the pandemic, we see reality and aspire to propagate Tao to all prefectures and provinces of Myanmar.
The Goal: A buddha in every home
Tao Initiation Zhao Zhi Yong represented the Cambodia Headquarter to share that Cambodia is like many neighboring nations where Buddhism is the predominant religion. Despite the language barrier, Tao propagation had been steadily on the rise, proving the greatness of Tao. Through teaching Chinese language, Cambodia Tao communities had promoted filial piety. These had implanted that seeds of traditional Chinese culture in the hearts of many Cambodians, achieving the goal of cultivating a buddha in every home.
Immeasurable gratitude towards the amazing result
Upon the completion of the second session, the delegates were distributed into teams for discussion. They also watched a video featuring the achievements of the I- Kuan Tao Association from 2017 to 2019 featuring 13 nations and 55 forums. Many delegates resonated to the similar experience featured in the video. As long as there are people, there will be I-Kuan-Tao. As long as there is I-Kuan-Tao, there will be warmth and hope!
Ushering a great future of hope
After the forum, all delegates gathered for a group photo. Gratitude and inspiration resonated in the hearts of all cultivators of this Bai-Yang era. Standing in the Grace of Heaven, virtues of our Masters, and the dedication and sacrifices of our Tao seniors, our common mission cohere our hearts together. It is the benevolence of our Holy Maters, we aspire and determine to fulfil our promises. With determination and energy, let’s create the future of the Bai-Yang era!
