Right Conditions: Timing, Place, and People
In the Tao seminar, Lecturer Chang said that a female Indian Tao member is learning Chinese and thinking about staying in Taiwan. That is not only good news for our Tao society, but also to our country. There are many international students that participate in Tao seminars partly due to friendly government policies. These policies encourage and make it relatively easy for Southeast Asian students to study in Taiwan and stay to work after graduating. This provides us with more opportunities to invite non-natives to receive Tao and join our Tao society. Their deep affinity with Tao, under favorable conditions, has blossomed.
Nurturing Tao Seeds, Yielding Great Potential
These international students, with their diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences, are great assets. They enrich society’s collective viewpoints, fostering a sense of momentum and creativity. They are key angels in the Great Salvation. As international students become Tao members, they then propagate Tao to their relatives and establish family temples in their home countries. It helps us promote international Tao propagation. They are essentially the bridges between Heaven and humans.
Helping Others, Helping Ourselves
Since these international Tao members have the affinity to learn and cultivate Tao in Taiwan, we should help them overcome language barrier and livelihood obstacles by providing them with more direct assistance, which enables them to build their home away from home. We can share job opportunities with them. We can patronize their self-employed businesses. By assisting these Tao members, we are not only benefiting our society and country, but ourselves as well. We accumulate merits and nurture merciful hearts within ourselves as we support the cultivation journeys of others. We are essentially fostering international Tao affairs on our Holy Teachers’ behalf, helping Patriarch Maitreya establish the Maitreya family on earth, and most of all, helping Heavenly Mater take good care of Her beloved children.
