2025《潛能發光 笑容綻放》溫哥華道務中心親子夏令營

發揮潛能 點亮心靈
每位孩子的內心，都藏著一份獨特的超能力！2025年7月20日，溫哥華道務中心舉辦親子夏令營，聚集約百位家長與孩童共襄盛舉。本次活動以「發現自我，啟動潛能」為主軸，透過創意課程與互動體驗，引導孩子認識自己，培養自信，在歡笑中成長，在鼓勵中閃閃發光！

分齡設計 共學同行
營隊延續歷年傳統，設置小班（幼兒園～小三）、中班（小四～國一）、大班（國二～高三）及家長班，依齡規劃適性課程，實踐家庭共學理念。由年輕活潑的雙語主持人領航，活動全程以中英文雙語進行，促進語言交流與文化融合。

歌聲祈願 祝福傳遞
營隊一開始，我們透過破冰遊戲讓大家熱絡起來，緊接著全體合唱為此次夏令營特別創作的英文主題曲。這首歌詞取自濟公活佛慈訓「祝禱文」，不僅傳遞祝福，也鼓勵每位學員都能發掘自己的天賦，發揮潛能，立志當菩薩的千手千眼，將道傳遍十方。

寓教於樂 感動滿載
此次課程內容多元豐富，從製作自畫像、立志成長、當自己的 CEO，到增進表達能力、團隊合作啦啦隊、設計網路遊戲挑戰、親職教育講座、與青少年溝通技巧分享等，老師們絞盡心思，只為讓各班程學員們玩得開心、收穫滿滿！

大地遊戲 親子歡聚
中午，我們一起親手動手做三明治，並在感恩詞中享用美味蔬食午餐。下午則是熱鬧的親子大地遊戲，孩子與家長分組競賽，歡笑不斷，每位參與者都充分享受其中。

圓滿頒獎 和樂融融
活動尾聲頒發結業證書與紀念品，感恩天恩師德與義工群策群力，讓孩子們在快樂中收穫智慧，在慈悲中種下信心種子。期待明年再聚，再續修辦同行的美好緣分！

Every Child Has Their Own Superpower!
We believe that through exploration and hands-on experiences, children can better understand themselves, discover their hidden potential, and build confidence. This year’s summer camp was centered on the theme “Discovering Self, Awakening Potential”, with a series of creative and engaging activities thoughtfully designed by our dedicated volunteer instructors. In an atmosphere of joy and encouragement, the children were able to grow and shine brightly.

Continuing our annual tradition, we organized age-specific classes:

• Junior Class for preschool to Grade 3
• Middle Class for Grades 4 to 7
• Senior Class for Grades 8 to 12
• And a special Parent Class designed to support and involve parents on this journey of learning.

Two energetic and charismatic young hosts led the camp, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the event. Activities were conducted bilingually in English and Mandarin, promoting both effective communication and cross-cultural learning, so that everyone could feel included and enjoy the experience to the fullest.

We kicked off the camp with fun icebreaker games to warm everyone up, followed by a group singalong of the specially composed English theme song. The lyrics were inspired by the Prayer Verse from Ji-Gong Living Buddha’s Holy teachings, offering blessings while also encouraging each participant to discover their gifts, unlock their potential, and vow to become a Bodhisattva with “a thousand hands and a thousand eyes,” sharing the Tao’s light and love with the world.

This year’s program was rich and diverse—from creating self-portraits and goal-setting workshops, to “Be Your Own CEO” leadership training, communication/self-expression enhancement, cheerleading teamwork, digital game design challenges, parenting seminars, and sessions on how to better communicate with teenagers. Our volunteer teachers went above and beyond to ensure each class was meaningful, enjoyable, and memorable.

Before lunch, everyone worked together to make their own sandwiches, followed by a delicious vegan meal shared in gratitude. In the afternoon, we held lively parent-child outdoor games, where families teamed up for friendly competition, laughter, and bonding. As the camp came to a close, each participant received a certificate of completion and a special prize to take home—bringing the event to a joyful conclusion.

With deep gratitude for the grace of Heaven and the virtue of our Holy Teachers, this year’s parent-child summer camp was a wonderful success. May the seeds of confidence and compassion planted in each child continue to grow, and we look forward to reuniting again next year!
