2025《道緣匯聚 弘道啟新篇》發一崇德英文道學交流研討會 心得

從文化內涵傳達道的真義-舊金山道務中心
感謝 天恩師德庇佑、感謝來自臺灣、新加坡、溫哥華、休士頓及芝加哥的點傳師與講師們的共襄盛舉。能夠承辦這場意義深遠的英文道學交流研討會，深感榮幸又唯恐不足，各地道場在英語弘道方面早已累積豐富經驗，是後學們要學習效法。首次在舊金山舉辦，自有其深意，故全心投入，珍惜每一分學習與交流的機會。

兩天的活動中，我們深受各地道場推動英文道務的用心與創意所感動。各人真誠的經驗分享及專題簡報，皆展現出前賢們修辦道的誠心與智慧。我們也發現，儘管各地道場面對不同的地理環境與族群背景，在向英語社群推動道務時，仍面臨著許多相似的挑戰。

在點傳師慈悲引導下，我們體悟到：若將中文資料直接翻譯為英文，往往無法觸及各地文化脈絡的深層內涵。語言之外，還需要理解對方文化與思維，才能真正傳達道的真義。

小組腦力激盪與交流環節更帶來許多具體可行的建議，對英文道學未來發展方向提供了珍貴的參考，也讓我們倍感振奮與希望。

感恩所有默默付出的前賢們，從大專青年精心準備的美味餐點，到資深前賢智慧充沛的指導與分享，皆展現崇德道場上下齊心、無私共辦的精神。

此次英文道學交流，不僅加深了我們對彼此的了解與連結，更凝聚了未來共同推動英文道務的方向與共識。透過結合各地道場的人才、經驗與資源，我們不僅建立了深厚的道誼，也為未來更宏觀、更有系統的推展英文道學奠定堅實的基礎。

Conveying the Essence of Tao Through Culture-Reflection from the San Francisco Tao Center
We are extremely grateful for the blessings that made the inaugural English Tao Exchange in San Francisco possible and for the collaborative participation of Tao Transmitting Masters and lecturers from Taiwan, Singapore, Vancouver, Houston, and Chicago. Being selected to host this event filled us with excitement and humility, as we recognized the many Tao societies worldwide who have even greater experience in sharing Tao with native English speakers. We trusted that there was a meaningful purpose behind this gathering in San Francisco and embraced the opportunity to learn from one another.

We were inspired by the dedication of the various Tao societies and their creative efforts to propagate Tao in English. From heartfelt personal stories to insightful presentations, every exchange reflected sincerity and wisdom. We realized that, despite our different geographies and demographics, we face similar challenges in presenting Tao to English-speaking communities. Guided by the Tao Transmitting Masters, we also came to appreciate that a direct Chinese-to-English translation of existing Tao materials cannot fully address the cultural nuances that each Tao society encounters. The group sessions provided practical ideas and thoughtful recommendations for future development, leaving us both hopeful and motivated.

We are especially thankful for the tireless and selfless contributions of all participants—from the collegiate youth who prepared delicious meals for the insightful Tao seniors who enriched every discussion. The English Tao Exchange strengthened our sense of unity and offered valuable insights for developing shared, English Tao resources, enabling us to spread the teachings of Tao with renewed purpose and joy. By leveraging the talents, experiences, and resources of each Tao society, we not only forged lasting friendships but also laid the groundwork to achieve goals that none of us could accomplish alone.

感恩無私分享與切磋交流-芝加哥佛堂
感謝天恩師德！感謝負責群馬點傳師慈悲號召這個活動！感謝新加坡點傳師與英文人才們發心精進，遠道而來到達美國交流英文道學！更感恩舊金山點傳師群與道親們的熱心招待，無私分享。還有溫哥華道務中心與臺灣英文庫前賢們的經驗分享與切磋交流。交流會匯集了豐富的英文操辦與講道經驗。

兩次小組討論，大家針對英文道學未來發展腦力激盪，提供了很多實踐的寶貴建議，為崇德負責群與大道場的政策規劃與資源發展提供了重要參考。

其中，有感於英文善歌嚴重不足，我們也將籌組工作小組，針對法會，研究班與日常傳唱的善歌之需求進行盤點，讓相關人才有共同創作與發揮才能的平台，逐步增進英文善歌的質量，讓英文為母語的道親們也有琅琅上口的善歌，為此更能融入道場，並從中體會道之殊勝奧妙。

Gratitude for a Selfless Exchange-Reflection from the Singapore Tao Center
The San Francisco Tao Exchange Conference was more than just a journey across continents—it was a journey of hearts and minds. This long-awaited event fulfilled the hopes and anticipation of many and became a deeply meaningful milestone in the global Tao community. Amid breathtaking sights and warm fellowship, the exchange affirmed a timeless truth: "Tao grows wherever sincerity, adaptability, and love create space for people to feel at home." In the vibrant spirit of the San Francisco Tao community, a new space was born—a home for shared growth and deeper understanding, blossoming beautifully far from its origins.

充滿活力與愛的彌勒家園-溫哥華道務中心
不休息菩薩的慈悲典範，舊金山周點傳師身先士卒，用大愛來帶動此次的交流活動。她用愛用心灌溉每一顆道苗，栽培每一個人才。她的美德滋養每一位家人，上下一心，上慈下效，樸實無華，道法自然。

講師們的法喜、謙恭，道親們時時面帶「了愿幸福」的微笑，服務熱誠，讓人倍感溫馨。舊金山的彌勒家園地方雖不大，卻充滿著溫馨，活力與愛。

舊金山青少年，道二代、道三代已經綻放出美麗的花朵，結出美麗的果實。未來的舊金山道務必定蓬勃發展，生機盎然。舊金山是彌勒家園的樣本，有很多讓我們可以學習效仿的地方。

于講師幽默的專業導覽，留下記憶深刻的兩句話「虎步龍步，要下去走兩步」這趟行程回憶美好，滿載而歸。

出來學習如同照鏡子，反觀自己對道親、義工、青少年的關愛還不足，很欠缺，需要好好努力加油。

A Loved-Filled Maitreya Homeland-Reflection from the Vancouver Tao Center
Attending the Tao English Exchange Conference was a truly memorable experience. I felt a deep sense of inclusiveness - not just as a guest, but as a full participant. The fact that the conference was conducted in English created a welcoming atmosphere where I could fully connect, share, and learn alongside others.

One of the most inspiring aspects was hearing from Tao centers around the world, including Singapore and San Francisco. Their creative and technical approaches to presenting Tao were eye-opening, showing me new ways to bring ancient wisdom into modern contexts. From innovative lecture formats to engaging multimedia, each presentation demonstrated unique ways of making Tao teachings more accessible and meaningful.

I was also moved by how different centers operate to keep their members actively involved and eager to return. The dedication, creativity, and heart behind their efforts inspired me to think more deeply about how we can nurture the same spirit in our own community.

Overall, the Tao English Conference was more than just a gathering - it was a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusivity, innovation, and shared learning in our path of cultivation.

經典導航助眾生達本還原-臺中道場
感恩，感謝，感動！前賢們的修辦精神，讓參訪者皆讚嘆不已，以身為崇德人感榮耀，更以舊金山的修辦精神為榜樣。這次學習之旅，讓我們看到了國外開荒之辛苦，更體會到修辦之堅持毅力，所見所聞，都讓我們感動萬千，祝福舊金山崇德佛院早日落成，道務宏展，人才濟濟。

蒙受天恩師德，老前人白水聖帝及前人不休息菩薩大德，臺灣小後學們一行五人，懷著感恩及緊張的心情，隨駕負責群馬點傳師於8月21日前往舊金山道務中心崇慧佛院參加2025英文道學交流研討會。

抵達時，隨即感受到崇德一家親的氛圍，舊金山道務中心 周點傳師帶領來自各地參與盛會的點傳師及講師前賢們的熱情歡迎，淡化了後學們的緊張情緒，同時亦加深了身為崇德人的感動與光榮。

而當遊覽車視野緩緩駛近崇慧佛院，看到由前人老親題的「崇慧佛院」四個字，腦海中瞬間浮現了前人老的慈悲影像，感覺就像回到家了，倍感親切與溫馨。

這次英文道學交流過程中，我們更清楚地了解西方人的思維及需求，雖有不同的文化及成長背景，但對於心靈平靜的追求是一致的，所以如何以道與不同文化種族間建立連結，就要善用經典的智慧，當地邱講師分享他在公司裏運用了道德經中柔弱勝剛強的道理，最終贏得了主管的肯定與信任。

這是非常不容易的，這教導了我們一個道理，經典的智慧是放諸四海皆準的，只有不會巧妙運用，沒有運用不了的地方。它就像是一座能跨越萬千不同道路/領域的橋，也像精準無比的衛星導航系統，能引導所有的眾生達本還原。

所以若能善用經典的智慧，加上精進修行的功夫，修行人不論在何處必能聖凡如意，事事順心，儘管有時或有挫折，或有停頓，但烏雲終將散去，光明坦途終將展現。

後學們非常感恩崇德負責群馬點傳師促成這次的道學交流會，同時感謝舊金山周點傳師及所有點傳師及講師前賢們的用心，讓後學們能夠站在不同角度中省思在渡化成全不同文化背景的前賢時，不僅溝通的語言要地道化，不能閉門造車；更要扎根經典，內化經典，進而活用經典，才能發揮橋樑最大的作用。

這是一趟奇妙且物超所值的旅程，太多的感動難以言盡，礙於篇幅止筆於此，祈願來日再續前緣。

Navigating Sentient Beings Home with Classics-Reflection from the Taichung Tao Society
There were many moving moments of gratitude! Every participant in the exchange was in awe of the cultivational spirit of every Tao senior. We are proud to be part of Chong-De and seek to emulate the cultivational spirit of the San Francisco Tao seniors. This exchange opened our eyes to the challenges of pioneering Tao propagation outside of Taiwan and deepened our appreciation for the perseverance required in cultivation. We were greatly moved by everything we saw and heard. We also wish for the early completion of San Francisco Tao Center’s Chong-De Grand Temple, their propagation of the Great Tao, and their fostering of great talents.

Blessed by the Grace of Heaven and the virtues of our Holy Teachers, with the great support of White Water Holy Emperor and Never-Resting Bodhisattva, our small Taiwan team of five accompanied Chong-De Committee-in-Charge Tao Transmitting Master Ma to San Francisco Tao Center’s Chong-Hui Grand Temple on August 21st to take part in the 2025 English Tao Exchange.

We felt the familial warmth of Chong-De’s hospitality upon arrival. San Francisco Tao Center’s Tao Transmitting Master Zhou, along with other Tao Transmitting Masters, lecturers, and Tao seniors, gave us a heartfelt welcome, easing our anxiety and strengthening our pride in being part of the Chong-De family.

As the tour bus slowly approached Chong-Hui Grand Temple, we saw the four Chinese characters “Chong Hui Fo Yuan,” written in Senior Elder’s calligraphy, installed on the building. Images of Senior Elder’s merciful appearance arose in our minds, and we felt a deep sense of belonging, as if we had returned home.

Through this English Tao exchange, we came to understand more about the Western way of thinking and some of the common needs. The pursuit of spiritual peace is universal, regardless of culture or upbringing. Therefore, we must use the wisdom contained in the classics to connect Tao with people of all cultures. Lecturer Qiu applied the Tao Te Ching principle of “the soft overcoming the hard” in his workplace and earned recognition from his supervisors.

This is not easy to accomplish, but the key takeaway is that classical wisdom is applicable to everyone. The question is not whether to use these principles, but when and how to apply them. This wisdom serves as both a bridge to broad paths and a reliable guide leading all sentient beings back to their origin.

If cultivators can effectively use classical wisdom and pair it with diligent practice, then regardless of where they may be, they will receive both heavenly and worldly blessings. Obstacles and pauses may arise, but the clouds of doubt will eventually disperse, allowing the radiance to shine forth.

We are deeply grateful to Chong-De Committee-in-Charge Tao Transmitting Master Ma for making this exchange possible. We are also thankful to San Francisco Tao Transmitting Master Zhou, every Tao Transmitting Master, and every lecturer for their efforts, which gave us the opportunity to reflect on Tao propagation to people not of Chinese descent. We must use localized language and be unafraid to think outside the box. In order to put the classics to its greatest use, we must build a foundation in the classics, internalize the classical wisdom and apply it to our lives.

This was a special journey filled with too many touching moments to fully capture. Due to space limitations, we will end here, with the hope that we may continue this destined connection another day.
